Sounds like you need a road trip Bill! For a Crafts store etc they are
90% off. $3 is hard to ignore. A couple weeks later they had an entire cart full of HO RR cars, singles of every type imaginable @ 90% off.
Most were around $1-$2 each, some as low as 66ยข. I passed since I don't do RRs. Jump on their web site and encourage them to locate in your area. The volume of business they do is phenominal because of their selection and pricing.

Thanks to you, I now have an Accurate Miniatures B-25B that cost me only $21.50! Anyone want to buy my B-25C/D (bought when he thought AM was out of business for good)? All I have to do now is get it home unbroken on an airplane.

Always check the tags on every kit in the stack! Local one had a HC 1/24
Spit for $33. Another local one had two marked at $12.50 (but not during a half off sale). But sometimes its months between these deals.

<slap>

the mis-marked stuff is the true reason I hit all six local HLs during
50% off sales. At least I know I'm not the only one checking tags.
