hi there.....yea, I've never tired that venue of flight, but I got to play around with rubber band flying models when I was in school. you know, I may just do one, just to prove to everyone that they are not dead....just not played with anymore....there are so many really neat thing to have come down the pike since then, that folks have forgotten just how much fun they were. look through my blogs, you may find the one that I wrote about it in. have you ever tried to do one? I'm willing to bet, you would have a lot of fun with it. just a suggestion, my young friend.

may I ask how old you are....I don't like to pry. they were the only venture in balsa that I ever did. I enjoyed it a lot....I even carried it into Florida when I moved down there.

impressive accomplishments you've done there...I've never built anything along those lines. I was 18 when I took my fairly new-found hobby down to florida. in those days, I was into cars and plane models. now, at 53, I just sit back and enjoy my sailing ships and military aircrafts...mostly biplanes and triplanes. I have a 1:32 scale of a Fokker Dr1 that I would like to get into, but I'm tied up right now...up to my eyeballs with a three footer called the Cutty Sark. I guess I go for the beauty, rather than for the speed.

the Cutty Sark, my friend, is a clipper ship. I've got a few more things to do before I cement the masts in place. right now , I'm waiting for a guy who is doing the depth markers for me {inkjets don't do white}, but I have done the other decals for her. The Fokker isn't electric...just aregular kit, but I have at least 12 ways to paint and mark her. I love doing these planes, they look so cool when they're done.

Here seymore I did a little site search to help with the paper stuff. Seems you need to copy and paste the link into the search bar at the top of the page. Just clicking on the link doesnt work.

hey there LP, whacha been up to? it's good to see you back! thank you, I've had some slight defect problems, but i got through them....but ya, she's looking fine. my biggest problems are the decals...the depth markers mainly. I made the others with a program I recently bought....but printers don't do white. Have you got other planes in your collection? you should post some pictures so we can all see them. I thought of buying one of those planes that are on a tether...but the thought of watching it go around in a circle would make me dizzy! do you like to write blogs? you could do one on r/c flight....there must be a lot of skill involved with it. I have never tried it...closest thing i got to was cars. one of my blogs has a part about my experience with balsa flying aircraft {rubber powered} I had one plane in particular that flew real good. it would use up it's power and then glide for some time afterwards, given a good breeze. I can't remember the name, but it was a German Fokker, and the wing was overhead...set up like a piper cub, except the wing did not comprise a roof over the cockpit like in that design.....held in place with trusses. but hey dude, don't be a stranger....chime on in...grab a cup....and post some pictures! love to see them!

dude! you got some impressive stuff there! I saw that Fokker Dr1...that's neat. well, you may see a little extra traffic on you website, now that you have it on here...you never know. you do have quite an array of different planes....I have heard of foam....I had bought a very large styrofoam B-52 when the boys were little and we tossed that around the backyard until it did a nosedive into the ground and broke. I used to buy a lot of those guillow's balsa gliders for them. well, I'm going to set up the sprinkler out side...and then get back to the Cutty. you have a good looking site and i hope other folks here will venture in to take a peek at what the stratos has to offer.
