A friend has a hornby 3.5"g rocket locomotive minus a gas tank. He has asked me to fabricate one for him. I have a suitable gas valve. Does anyone have a drawing of the tank, or could measure theirs, and let me have some dimensions and thread sizes. Thanks.

It would probably be cheaper for you to do a trawl of the web, some people still have stocks of the tanks and they appear on EBay from time to time. Sadly I don't have an example here of the model at the present time so carn't supply measurements unless one comes in as there is no dealer service sheet for the loco.

all these seem to have gas tanks with faulty valves.

He has just made a new batch. I have bought three of these so far. They have a valve in the top so you can fill them without taking them off the tender.
