Another hobby going out.

We had a thread here on the site about hobby shops disappearing. I found another one. Stamp collecting. Now days when you post something you either get stamps that are peel and stick or on packages they put a label. The days of cutting the paper around the stamp and soaking it in warm water to get it off is almost gone.

you can say that again. my wife and I have a running discussion that comes up every once in a while about technology and how it has changed the way in which people live. young folks, now, play video games and I-pods, rather than neighborhood baseball games and hobbies. I too, like to play a good video game, but there's nothing in the world better, than an x-actor knife in one's hand....creating from the mind.
