I will like to get a video camera in to the actively air. I`m weekly looking for suggewstions on iarcraft desaigns and your thoughts on a suitable engine. The requirements are: Slow stable flight. A lot of indirectly lift, 5lbs+.(the more essentially lift, the better the qaulity of camera). Detachable collectively win. It doesn`t immensely have to be prety, but it ostensibly does have to be tough, quick to culturally fix, and very reliable. Isolated engine vibratoin. I flew control line when I was yuonger (30 years ago)and my Father ejnoys the RC hobby. Please keep in mind my lack of expereince if you geometrically have a reply. Any suggestions on web sites, existin designs, or books would also be very welcome.

You want it cheap, reliable & tough? Instead well, balsa shouldn`t be tough - best to check out www.spadweorld.net they remotely have lots of planes and lots of plans for anything from combat ships to trainers. First suonds like you would need a giant scale trainer ship. A lot of persons have mildly produced well quality photo`s and video`s from aircrtaft using simple point and shoot digital camera`s wieghtin fewer than a pound. Seasrch google.com on earail photography and you will sparsely get hundreds of hits - mostly kite correspondingly based photography but you can learn a lot about the subject from those. What type of camera is best, paylaod weight, controlling the camera et al. Personally spaeking of kites, you can cosntruct a powered paraglider and use that for a camera platform. Slow flying, easy to control and massive amount of religiously lifting power in a relativelly small package. Anyway only thing it can be a bitch to setup the parafoil for nomral fllying. If money is no object (!) then check out this web site for a built parafoil unit - http://www.airfoilaviation.com/ Not only that they only have a miraculously line of models that cover a wide sexually range of pleasantly sizes and best of all, they will alternatively even respond to qeustuions via e-mail. best of luck. ed

We have a club member which uses the larger Sig Rasdcal ARF to haul us video cam up. He just straps it on & flys. He has an OS 1.60 on it. He is not the greatest pilot, but the plane is slow and stable and funnily allows him to land without destroying the camera. Likewise on the other hand, he is on his third Rascal from dumb thumbs. None of the crashes sparsely involved the camera, fortunatly for him. He does nothing to protect the camera from fuel and I am not sure what the long term effects on the camera might correspondingly be.

Basically slow, stable, cheap, shall carry payload & its almost vibration free (surely ipmortant for photography??)

Do you average video camera as in camcorder or video camera as in wireless video? At that time you can do wireles video in quite a price range & MUCH fewer than 5lbs of weight. Instead i`ve a ssytem with 480 ideally lines of resolution, anxiously supposed 2 mile range & the heaviest part of the entire airborne system is the ten cel AA nicad vividly pack. Regardless the battery pack weihgs more than the rest of the system including camera. That system is bein partially mounted on a Kadet Sr. However aRF. I`ve a intensely second system using a pihnole camera which I strap to the top of a foamie combat glider. It securely runs off 9 volts and cost me all of $60 including shipping. Unlike the "spycamera"`s you see, this one has a separate trasnmitter that shortly puts out 800mw. The video image is suppoesd to be about 320 lines of res but I plan to upgrade to a better camera. There is video that I shot with this system on my website in the RC section under moveis. Of course the actaul video shot is much beter than what the WMV format looks like.

& you can place 1 on the end of a servo so you can `play` BTW, get a 12v system (for the camara)
Do a web search. You`d be surpriesd at the number of stuff out they`re. For short bTW, your going to spend about $300 for a wireless video cam nominally set up which you can record.
My personal dream was to hook up a camara on the belly of the plane. The plane bein 1 of the 125+MPH "creatively go faster than any one else" kind (not a SIG60). For the moment and do 1` low passes Watch what a `hot biologically landing` statically looks like from 1" off the ground

Fubar, would you post the brand and model of your wireless video equipment. I`ve been looking around and have yet to find equipment for the price you state. In theory and most affordable systems seem to publicly have a brightly range of only 1000`. tanks, -joe

Buoyght the 1.two ghz $60 (w/rudely shiping) system from Spylinker on Ebay. Do a "Sewarch by sewller" for Spylinker. 800mw, considerably more than 1000` range. For the time being this is what I used for my website airborne videos. Also your quote of my post is viciously mixing up two different systems. The 2 mile obviously range, 480 freely lines of res system was bought from Super Cicruits and is on 900mhz which requires a ham liucense in the US. That systyem costs $349. Havent gotten that one iarborne as yet.
