So I decided to do a display piece- but not a historical piece. I want to do a themed 'squadron' of Star Wars fightercraft from the book Wedge's Gamble. (I think thats it) In the book, Wedge Antillies amasses a veritable fleet to stop Ysanne Isard (say it with me- E-Sann Eye-zard) and her portion of the Empire because the New Republic won't. The X-wings were characterized by their individual color schemes, markings, and astromech droids, becuase they were going renegade and there was no reason for uniformity. And there were various 'uglies'- Ships created from the parts of other ships, kind of halfbreed fighters.

So I need a whole bunch of 1:72 scale X-Wings (especially), B-Wings, Y-Wings, Tie Fighters, and Tie Bombers. I'm going to use my Wizards of the Coast Star War Minis Collection to represent dismounted pilots, and there will be conversion involved on them as they don't actually make most of the pilots. I'm going to scratch build the Pulsar Skate- a freighter tricked out like the Millenium Falcon- Because I'm sure they don't make a kit for it.

The models don't need super detail, but as this is a modelling project they should be detailed. However as I am buying something like 15+ spacecraft it'd be nice if they were of the $10 ish variety.

Heres my points: 1. I wanted to show the Modelsbuzz community my project, 2. I cant find the models. So...

Where do I find 1/72 Scale model Star Wars Starfighters? And is there a star destoyer relatively big enough to pass for that size?

Thanks!
-Zack

Haven't even been able to start yet, and the book didn't have any photos just descriptions. I guess I can show you what an X-wing looks like, I just thought it was common knowledge. Pic attached.

Sorry, heres the picture. [/img]

Its a kit, thats for sure. I was just looking for something cheaper, and smaller. I really need it 1/72 to fit with the pilots. For all I know that kit is, but I found it on Yahoo images. I've also looked here, and found no reference to a 1/72 line of star wars models.

Any ideas?

You wrote above you only need the wings? (x-wings, b-wings etc. etc. your wrote).
That could be tricky to obtain - especially if you need a whole bunch of them.

The whole ship is known as an X-Wing, B-wing etc. They refer to the fighter itself as that. Its the name of the model. I'm beginning to think this is the wrong place... Thanks for what help you guys can offer, though.
